Doosan Babcock Energy has been awarded the British Quality Foundation (BQF) Excellence Award for Process Improvement. The presentation ceremony, which was held in London in the presence of the BQF Patron, HRH Princess Anne, highlighted Doosan Babcock’s performance last year and our award of Doosan Company of the Year as reasons for recognition.
The British Quality Foundation (BQF) is Europe's largest corporate membership organisation promoting performance improvement and excellence. Following the initial screening process, an appointed BQF assessor visited our European Headquarters in Renfrew, Scotland to carry out further investigation of our submissions.
“This is only our second year of entry, we were short listed for three categories and are delighted with the award of Process Improvement, particularly as we were competing with some of the UK’s major blue chip companies” commented Ken McPhie, Director, QHS&E. “The award is testimony to our commitment to both quality and process improvement.”
The annual BQF awards recognise exceptional achievement in key areas of organisational performance. Categories include Leadership, Employee Satisfaction, Customer Satisfaction, Partnership Development and Process Improvement.
